Scope of Work:
The Machine Productivity and Security Systems Team is currently in need of a resource to assist with our Machine Security Systems (MSS) and Operator ID products.
This job will be a Test Engineer position within the client's electronics division. This person will be responsible for working with machine software teams that are developing or incorporating our Machine Security System (MSS) and Operator ID libraries into their onboard code. This individual will be responsible for meeting with machine systems leads to determine which MSS or Operator ID solution will work for them, ensuring that software library documentation is created\updated\communicated to the machine group and that any integration questions or issues are reported and are ultimately resolved. The software libraries will be created by our internal team in India. This individual will communicate with that team on a regular basis. Due to the time difference, this individual will need to be available as early as 7 a.m. on some days for these meetings. This individual will also be responsible for testing the software on the MSS bench and on the machine bench when needed.
Job responsibilities include:
Creation of technical specification and integration documentation for Machine Security System (MSS) and Operator ID for Client machines and engines.
Developing system test plans and validation plans
Must be able to assist others with resolving system design and integration issues during development. These tasks may occasionally require field support.
Reporting technical status to related Client Electronics teams.
Coordinating software development activities and ensuring they are completed on schedule
Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics engineering or equivalent.
3 to 5 years of experience with embedded machine system, software or component development, Test Bench, Hardware testing
Ability to organize and develop specifications and test plans for systems or components.
Ability to work in a team environment, communicating technical information and development progress to team members and others in Client Electronics.
Experience with both system/component integration and embedded software development is a plus.
Experience with keypads, keys, Bluetooth keyfobs is a plus
Experience with software development or integration is a plus
Experience with on-machine data links, protocols and debugging tools such as Canalyzer, Cadet, and Electronic Technician.
