The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Manager of Global Ethics and Compliance. The Manager of Global Ethics & Compliance will play a pivotal role in promoting Xylem’s strong culture of ethics and compliance. The successful candidate will be a highly experienced compliance professional capable of collaborating with various legal and business stakeholders in administering the day-to-day operation of Xylem’s global ethics and compliance program.
Managing the compliance training program in cooperation with HR and evaluating the effectiveness of the training program; and developing innovative approaches to training to encourage employee engagement.
Overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of Xylem’s various global ethics and compliance programs and initiatives, including Code of Conduct, global training, anti-corruption due diligence program, gift, hospitality & travel and employee communication and engagement.
Developing, maintaining, revising and operationalizing policies and procedures.
Oversight of anti-corruption controls and programs, including leading projects to implement and improve internal controls and programs and act as liaison with internal audit for anti-corruption and compliance controls audits.
Monitoring legal, regulatory and enforcement trends and calibrating ethics and compliance program accordingly
Overseeing, maintaining and innovating an effective compliance employee engagement and communication program for the organization, including heightening awareness among employees of compliance risks and policies, ensuring that employees speak up about integrity concerns, and aligning and educating organizations regarding current and emerging risks and trends.
Managing the compliance training program in cooperation with HR and evaluating the effectiveness of the training program; and developing innovative approaches to training to encourage employee engagement
Benchmarking Xylem’s compliance program against programs of other like companies; and partnering with HR, Finance, Communications and other functions to promote best practices
Partnering with key cross-functional stakeholders on enterprise-wide revision and deployment of a new Code of Conduct
Managing the technology utilized in compliance operations; developing innovative approaches to using technology to maximizing the effectiveness of the compliance program; and working across functions to implement technological solutions.
Monitoring the performance and effectiveness of compliance program and related activities on a continuing basis through development, collection and analysis of key metrics.
Maintaining, and assisting in the periodic assessment and updating of Xylem’s compliance practices, protocols and guidelines.
Managing integration of E&C programs with newly acquired businesses or joint ventures
Minimum Education: B.A./B.S. degree
Experience - 8+ years of experience as compliance professional. Experience should include Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), U.K. Bribery Act (UKBA), or other Anti-Corruption issues, including program design, training, and/or audit.
