Kforce has a client that is seeking to add a Program Level Architect to their growing Data team in Pekin, IL.Summary:As the Program Architect the ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall architecture of the core system transformation that is changing the way we do business. This may include evaluating new technologies and creating application architecture of both new systems as well as defining integration needs from strategic platforms such as Guidewire to legacy systems.This position is aligned with the client's legacy transformation which is Guidewire. They will be responsible for the legacy integration work and implementing Guidewire (the client is working on 3 lines of business this year and will be doing 4 - 5 next year).Duties Include:

  • Provide oversight for architecture assessment and design for infrastructure, information or integration domains that provide core capabilities for the enterprise

  • Lead Architecture design of end to end enterprise integrated systems that serves multiple lines of businesses

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data model and metadata structures for complex projects

  • Define which data is extracted and the rules by which it is transformed for complex projects

  • Initiate and deliver technology evaluation and recommendations

  • Develop and maintain current, planned and future state architecture blue prints aligned to a program

  • Participate in Enterprise Technology and Application Rationalization

  • Ensure programs maintain an enterprise-wide view to support adoption of standards and practices and promote reuse

  • Develop, improve, validate, and use tools to facilitate Enterprise Architecture efforts

  • Lead in the development and alignment of the IT roadmap

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology-related field or equivalent experience

  • 12 - 15 years of related experience and recognition as a domain expert is necessary

  • A certification in Architecture or a related, relevant field is highly desirable

  • Guidewire Certification or relevant experience configuring the Guidewire product

  • Experience with Guidewire platform is a must for this role

  • Architecture Modeling experience

  • In depth experience with end to end application architecture

Top 3 areas:

  • Guidewire implementation experience (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimsCenter); PolicyCenter certification preferred

  • Architecture background; TOGAF certified, this is a framework for enterprise architecture, for designing, planning, implementing and governing enterprise information technology architecture; knowledge of multiple frameworks is a plus

  • Must have a previous Insurance background; this is needed because of the systems they are working with and the legacy system that the client is converting to

Additional Required Skills Include:

  • Experience with architecture modeling, building block design, applications and role design, and systems integration

  • Knowledge of general IT practices, such as brokering applications, asset management, migration planning, SLA's, etc

  • Knowledge of business skills and methods, such as business case development, business process mapping, and strategic planning

  • Deep expertise in one to many areas including software engineering, security, data interchange, data management, network, database, servers, storage, collaboration or other technical areas
