The Financial Assistance Office is located in the university's Student Financial Services center and is closely connected to Student Billing and the Controller's Office. The Advisor will also interact regularly with the Office of Undergraduate Admission and The Graduate School. This is a full time, year round position.This position will primarily serve our students enrolled or enrolling in the university's Online Graduate programs, reviewing, awarding and managing their financial eligibility. The Advisor will also assist our enrolled and prospective traditional students and their families in identifying federal, state, institutional and private sources of educational funding including grants, scholarships and educational borrowing opportunities. The Advisor will also assist online student billing in their responsibilities for verification, refunds and student concerns at the start of each enrollment term.The Advisor must possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well with all levels of staff and a diverse student population. A high comfort level with online applications, social media, and other digital communication platforms is requisite. The ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously is necessary. Must be adept at understanding, analyzing, and accurately managing complex, detailed financial information. Experience with managing large bases of data using EXCEL and related software is important. Minimum requirements include an earned bachelor's degree, with preference given to candidates with experience in higher education, specifically in enrollment, financial assistance, financial services or student services.
