Additionally you will apply solutions to business/technical problems through customer interactions, design, programming, debugging, testing, and integration/implementation of automated information technology systems and cloud services.The Digital Enabled Solutions Division is leading Caterpillar and our industry with the utilization of data analytics, innovation, digital channels and techniques to drive profit, create more efficient revenue growth, unlock new revenue streams and provide more durable competitive advantages for the business through unexpectedly great experiences for our customers.As an Digital Cloud Developer will collaborate with Architects to lead implementation of new technologies on Azure to improve functionality, performance etc.Work with Business Analyst to understand functional and non-functional requirements, and use casesLead technical data project team of 5-10 developers and the full software development life cycle (requirements, design, implementation, testing, review, deployment, and support)Lead team in accurately estimating the implementation effort for ETL, database/data warehouse, and data architecture components of a solution from requirements through deployment JOB DUTIES:This position reports to an IT Supervisor, Senior IT Supervisor or IT Manager, asdo other staff jobs in application and technical systems and programming sections. Responsibilities are within functional lines with individuals assisting in new program development and/or maintenance of existing mobile, WEB, Cloud, server, personal computer, mainframe, and/or distributed computing systems. Competent to perform all programming, development, integration and system administration assignments without close supervision.Designs, codes, tests, and debugs programs of high complexity.Configuration or customization of purchased software solutions with high complexity.Provides project management, programming, systems, and/or system administration leadership, guidance, and assistance to other team members.Works on more complex application/technical problem identification and resolution, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.Works independently on complex processes and modules that may be used by one or more programs, systems or in support of infrastructure component change management.Develops major system modules, programs or infrastructure released based on requirements gathered from system customers.Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of system components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality resultsFully knowledgeable of programming languages appropriate to the platform supported, program design and specification development, programming logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file des ign, storage and internal systems;Performs integration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased hardware and software solutions.Assists customers with documentation, training and usability efforts. Basic Qualifications:*4 year degree in STEM *5+ years of performing software/application development in Java or .NET. Top Candidates Will Also Have:*Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any other Engineering field.*2 plus experience with Cloud technology (Azure or AWS)*Experience with Hadoop (Hive or Map Reduce)*Knowledge of Swagger, YAML, XSD etc and file formats like XML,JSON, Parquet, ORC etc.*Experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Store, Data Lake Analytics, SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Analysis Services (at least 2)*Experience with developing end to end data flows from stream analytics/event hubs to SQL DW and SSAS*Experience with migrating bulk data from various on-premise legacy systems to Azure Cloud*Experience working in Agile methodology* Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
