Applies systems and/or infrastructure solutions to business/technical problems through customer interactions, design, debugging, testing, and integration/implementation of automated information technology systems. JOB DUTIES: This position reports to a Digital Program Manager, Product Owner or IT manager. Responsibilities are within functional lines with individuals assisting in new program development and/or maintenance of existing mobile, WEB, Cloud, server, personal computer, mainframe, and/or distributed computing systems. Provides project management, facilitation, guidance, and assistance to extended, cross functional team members.Works with cross functional team members on complex application problem identification and resolution.Works with cross functional team members on complex processes and modules that may be used by one or more programs, systems or in support of change management processes.Works with cross functional team members to develop major system modules, programs or infrastructure released based on requirements gathered from system customers.Performs integrated testing and customer acceptance testing of system components that requires careful planning and execution to ensure timely, quality resultsFully knowledgeable of business logic, logic diagrams, system analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards.Performs integration tasks for in-house developed systems and/or purchased hardware and software solutions.Assists cross functional team with documentation, training and usability efforts.Basic Qualifications:- 4 year degree with STEM technology- Experience with project management methodologies- 3+ experience with information technology related projects- Top Candidates Will Also Have:- 2+ years of experience in the following: service oriented architecture for telematics or telemetry solutions, requirements or quality management, machine health monitoring systems, quality management processes and tools utilizing analytical and problem solving skills.- Minimum two years of progressively responsible IT or machine or engine systems, controls experience- Ability to work in a team environment, communicating technical information and development progress to team members and others- Excellent troubleshooting skills- Experience converting customer requirements to technical specifications- Strong written and oral communication skills- Strong business and technical acumen- Ability to work independently- Work on large scale complex assignments- Provide direction to technical development teams- Previous marketing and or field experience- Familiarity with Agile development practices- Previous 6 Sigma Black Belt experience- 2+ years of experience with new product introduction and continuous product improvement issue resolution processes for large scale projects. - Caterpillar is not currently hiring individuals for this position who now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status; however, as a global company, Caterpillar offers many job opportunities outside of the U.S. which can be found through our employment website at www.caterpillar.com/careers.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
