Responsibilities in the areas below include but are not limited to:

Advising

Academic advising and counseling with Undecided Engineering, Pre- Engineering, and other students as needed.

Serving as students' point of contact to the College.

Distributing recruiting and career information to student

Communications with students regarding college and university events.

Performing new student orientations for the College

Assisting in recruiting students to the College

Teaching

Teaching/coordinating sections of an introductory engineering course for undecided engineering students.

Monitoring students on co-operative education and intern assignments, awarding their final grades for those assignments, and serving as primary contact for Smith Career Center.

Administration

Implementing and monitoring the College's retention programs.

Distribution of reports from the Registrar, Undergraduate Admissions, Smith Career Center, Academic Success Center and Orientation offices, serving as a source for articulation with community colleges.

Compiling data for various annual surveys, developing, updating and administering degree audits.

Processing paperwork required by students and departments.

Maintaining academic records for the College.

Participating in the Academic Review Board process

Performing degree requirement reviews for graduating seniors in the College.

Assisting with accreditation reviews including preparing materials for the self-studies, monitoring yearly program accreditation processes, and compiling the College and University material.

Organizing and coordinating College events for students.

Other

Assisting the Dean's office staff when needed.

A Bachelor's degree (any related field) is required. A Master's degree; experience working with students and faculty in higher education and experience with the position's responsibilities as outlined above are strongly preferred. Candidates must be legally able to work in the United States. No VISA sponsorship is available. No relocation package is available.
