"SIMULINK, PYTHON, MECHANICAL ENGINEER, MATLAB, HYDRAULICS, ENGINEERING, ENGINEER,"Job Title: Drivetrain Simulation EngineerDuration: 12 MonthsLocation: Mossville, IL 61552Job Description: The Drivetrain Simulation Engineer is responsible to help develop and validate mechanical driveline for off highway construction equipment via simulation. In this role, the engineer will use Dynasty which is similar to commercial tools such as AMESIM, GTSUITE. In addition, we typically use co-simulation with Matlab/Simulink to represent the controls. The engineer should be expected to be capable at building models, generating predictions and interpreting results. The position focuses on mechanical rotating components, transmission oil systems and transmission clutches. Physical plant modeling and simulation is typically primary to the job role, however Simulink controls involvement varies by project. Position is exciting opportunity to learn more about how machines operate. Position will influence design development by simulation prior to and in parallel with machine testing.Typical Day 8 hours, schedule flexible with start time ranging between 7:30 and 9am. Working in Office. Highly collaborative as part of a team. Minimal meetings to report our findings.Education Requisition Mechanical or AG engineering Bachelor''s Degree required. MS PreferredTechnical SkillsQualifications Mechanical or AG engineering degree preferred (focus on hard science dynamics, statics) Prior physical (rotating driveline) modeling experience Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow experience. Effective communication skills The candidate should be able to interpret simulation, lab or machine results and relate to physical principals The candidate must be able to manage their own time, balance priorities and meet deadlines. Advantageous Python experience Hands on mechanical device experience Controls experience Hydraulics understanding CREOSoft Skills Good communication skills.
