GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

To provide overall direction and management to the development and implementation of the human resource strategy and organization of policies and procedures for Regional call centers in Chillicothe, IL. Responsible for supporting employees, operations and senior management.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for functional components of human resources specifically in areas of organizational effectiveness, employee relations, training, recruiting and compensation.

  • Implements recruiting program and is active in all phases of the process including employee selection, screening and retention.

  • Maintains knowledge of various leave policies and meets with employees to explain policies and application procedures (FMLA, Workers’ Comp, STD, LTD, etc.). Assists with risk management as it relates to employee safety and awareness.

  • Benefit administration encompassing new hire orientation, benefits enrollment, 401(k) enrollment and eligibility with the aid of the Regional Benefit Manager.

  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and legal requirements, including EEO and FCC reporting.

  • Prepares and presents report data to all levels of call center and Human Resources leadership on a variety of personnel data, including recruiting activity, hiring, turnover, progressive discipline and performance management.

  • Provides guidance to Supervisors and Managers regarding performance management and the disciplinary action process, including reviewing, approving and assisting in the administration of performance reviews and disciplinary action.

  • Conducts investigations and, under the guidance of Regional Director of Human Resources, resolves complaints and employee grievances.

  • Conducts new hire orientation.

  • Provides training to Supervisors, Managers and employees on a variety of Human Resources topics.

  • Develops programs for implementation directed toward departmental goals and objectives.

  • Performs other duties as required or directed.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • BA in Human Resources, Communications or related field.

  • Minimum of three to five years experience in human resources.

  • Extensive knowledge of PCs and software.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays when needed.

  • Minimal travel required.
